El Faro Charter respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data in compliance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and Spanish Organic Law 3/2018 on Data Protection and Guarantee of Digital Rights (LOPDGDD).

When you send us a booking enquiry via WhatsApp through the form on this website, the following data is processed:

• Name and surname
• Mobile phone number
• Email address
• Date, duration and time-of-day preference of the booking
• Number of people
• Selected boat

This website does not store any data on its own servers. The form builds a WhatsApp message with the information you enter and opens it in your WhatsApp app. The data is transmitted to us exclusively via WhatsApp when you press "send".

Purpose of processing

• Responding to booking enquiries
• Preparing and executing the rental contract
• Communication with the customer before, during and after the rental
• Compliance with legal obligations (invoicing, tax retention)

Legal basis

Processing is based on (a) your consent given by submitting the form, (b) the performance of a contract or pre-contractual steps at your request, and (c) compliance with legal obligations applicable to the provider.

Retention period

Personal data will be retained for as long as necessary to manage the booking and afterwards during the periods required by Spanish tax and commercial law (generally up to 6 years). After that, the data will be deleted or anonymised.

Recipients

Your data is not shared with third parties except when required by law. The WhatsApp messaging service is provided by Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd.; by using the WhatsApp link you accept Meta's privacy policy. Booking, accounting and tax data may be processed by our service providers (accountant, tax advisor) under the corresponding data-processing agreements.

• Google Maps — to show our location. Provider: Google Ireland Ltd.
• Google Fonts — for typography. Provider: Google Ireland Ltd.
• WhatsApp — for booking enquiries. Provider: Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd.
• Netlify — web hosting. Provider: Netlify Inc.

These providers may process technical data (such as IP address and browser information) when loading their resources.

Cookies

This website does not use its own tracking cookies or analytics cookies. Third-party services (Google Maps, Google Fonts) may set technical cookies necessary for their functionality. No advertising or profiling cookies are used.
